As Miami Dolphins training camp rolls on, the orange jersey awards that are given to the previous practice session’s best performer are piling up!

Miami’s defense had been dominating the award, but recently, the offense seems to be catching up. Yesterday’s recipient was electric running back De’Von Achane.

Today’s winner?

The owner of the franchise’s biggest contract, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa!

Tagovailoa recently signed a contract that pays the young player an average of $53.1 million a season and totals $167 million in guarantees. The deal made Tagovailoa one of the highest paid players in the entire National Football League.

Speaking with the media in his first availability since signing the deal, Tagovailoa spoke on how his new contract means he must lead by example if the Dolphins are to win playoff games and hopefully one day hoist a Lombardi Trophy.

Until then, he’ll have to settle for the orange jersey award.
