Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Kentucky Derby appearance will have Taylor Swift writing a song about it
Travis Kelce showed up at the Kentucky Derby wearing a flashy suit and hat that fans couldn’t ignore on social media.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is no stranger to the limelight. If there’s one thing we know about Travis Kelce, it’s that he has style. The Chiefs tight end is known for his unique fashion tastes that he is not shy showing off at press conferences and other big events. Kelce made a recent appearance at the Kentucky Derby wearing another classic look.
Kelce showed up at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday wearing a white suit with a dark hat. We’re not sure that the hat and suit complement each other, but Travis makes the fit work.

Predictably, Kelce’s flame Taylor Swift got brought into the conversation. One fan quipped that Taylor Swift would write a song about Travis’ suit after the couple breaks up.
Gonna be a 8 minute song about their breakup that centers on this suit https://t.co/z2jVF4aGsP

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs recently agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $34 million that will keep Kelce with the team through the 2025 season.
Throughout his 11-year career, Kelce has caught 907 passes for 11,328 yards and 74 TDs. He has won three Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2024, the Chiefs will attempt to become the first team in NFL history to win the Lombardi Trophy three years in a row.
Did the Chiefs draft Travis Kelce’s successor at tight end in Jared Wiley?

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted tight end Jared Wiley out of TCU in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Travis Kelce turns 35 in October, so it is logical to assume that the Chiefs have thought about a succession plan for the superstar tight end. Kelce is not done yet, but he can teach Wiley everything he knows about being a great NFL tight end over the next few seasons.
Based on recent comments from Chiefs general manger Brett Veach, it is likely that Wiley gets to play in a rotational role in 2024.
“Travis is the best at what he does and [backup tight end] Noah Gray has done some really outstanding stuff for us the last few years,” Veach said when asked about Wiley. “Noah plays a ton of reps on special teams. Having another big body to be interchangeable with those two players is really important for us.”
Wiley played the first three years of his collegiate career at the University of Texas. He transferred to TCU for his final two seasons and broke out in 2023. Wiley had 47 catches for 520 yards and eight TDs in his final season, all numbers that were more than double his first four seasons combined.
Wiley says he gained confidence in himself as his collegiate career progressed.
“I gained a lot of confidence in myself,” Wiley said. “There were a lot of times early in my career where I felt like I was kind of getting down on myself a little bit. All that went out the door these past two years, especially this last year, just having that confidence back in myself.”
It will be interesting to see how Wiley performs in his rookie season.
