Insider Reveals CeeDee Lamb’s Feelings About Contract Talks
The Dallas Cowboys largely stood pat in free agency, though they managed to address some needs via the 2024 NFL Draft.
While the Cowboys could have done more to strengthen the roster, they at least have the pillars of their offense in place in Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.
Both Prescott and Lamb are due for massive contract extensions after their strong showings in the 2023 NFL season, though so far no agreements have been made.
Prescott has already said he is willing to let the process play out as the two sides negotiate, though Lamb is in a more precarious spot as other wide receivers like Amon-Ra St. Brown and A.J. Brown have already agreed to new extensions.
Lamb was the best wideout in football last season as he set a franchise record for receptions and had a monster year from a yardage standpoint.
Although Lamb could be more discontent with how things have played out so far, it appears that he simply could be waiting to see what Justin Jefferson gets in the market via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
“They [Dallas] know that he’s probably waiting on Jefferson to sorta reset that market, then Lamb can come in some where landing his plane either behind Jefferson or somewhere close to him,” Fowler said.
Like Lamb, Jefferson is due for a massive raise though the Minnesota Vikings have yet to come to terms on a new deal.
Whatever Jefferson ends up getting, though, should serve as the benchmark for Lamb who is more than deserving to be the highest-paid wideout in the league.
