Miami Dolphins roster needs 2024: What does team still need to do?

The Miami Dolphins open training camp in about three weeks, beginning their ramp-up for the 2024 NFL regular season. The team has spent the offseason rebuilding a roster that saw several key members leave in free agency after a playoff season. They have added key veterans, bolstered injured position groups with rookies, and put themselves in a position to continue their momentum into the 2024 playoff picture. But, what does the team still need to do? Where is the biggest hole on the team’s roster?

We asked you to answer that question this week in our SB Nation Reacts poll, in partnership with DraftKings Sportsbook. The poll provided you with four possible positions – offensive line, tight end, linebacker, or defensive back – plus an “other” selection. Your responses provide a clear picture of fan concern for the team.

Offensive line dominated the poll results, receiving 81 percent of the vote. Linebacker was a distant second with just seven percent of the selections. Other was third with six percent, followed by defensive back at four percent and finally tight end received two percent of the responses.

The Dolphins’ offensive line is projected to have Terron Armstead at left tackle, Isaiah Wynn at left guard, Aaron Brewer playing center, and Austin Jackson at right tackle. Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones, Lester Cotton, or Jack Driscoll will likely fill the starting right guard position. Depth roles are currently held by the three players who do not claim the right guard spot, along with Patrick Paul, Kendall Lamm, Kion Smith, Ryan Hayes, Chasen Hines, Ireland Brown, Matthew Jones, Bayron Matos, and Andrew Meyer.
