Miami Dolphins make two roster moves as 2024 NFL rookie minicamp begins
The Miami Dolphins welcomed their 2024 draft class to Miami Gardens on Tuesday afternoon for the start of rookie minicamp. Day one is usually reserved for physicals, testing, and the essentials, so not much information is released—unless a player or players fail their physicals, in which case the team usually makes an announcement.
That, unfortunately, was the case on Tuesday when the team made the following roster moves:::

According to the team’s official website, safety Mark Perry and wide receiver Tahj Washington were both placed on the physically unable to perform list after Tuesday’s happenings.
Perry, an undrafted acorn out of TCU, recorded 142 tackles, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble during his final two years in college. He was placed on the active/non-football injury list.
The other player placed on the PUP list was a guy I was really high on and have talked about at length on Another Dolphins Podcast. I’m talking about Tahj Washington. The former USC wide receiver was selected 241st overall in the 7th round of the 2024 NFL Draft. During his time in college, he started 30 out of 39 games, recording 163 receptions for 2,449 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Both players hoped to compete for a 53-man roster spot, but it seemed they’d most likely be practice squad candidates. Whatever the case, both players will start the 2024 season on the PUP list.
What are your thoughts on Tahj Washington and Mark Perry being placed on the Physically Unable Perform List? Do you think this all but solidifies Malik Washington’s spot on the 53-man roster? What about Mark Perry? Do you think Miami can bring in another safety to compete at the position? If you had to pick one of these players to make the roster, which would it be and why?!
