Brittany Mahomes gets real about skin struggles while battling ‘sickness and exhaustion’ amid ‘hardest’ pregnancy yet

Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany revealed she is struggling with her skin amid her pregnancy, which she announced on Instagram earlier this month.

Just weeks after revealing she is expecting her third child, the retired soccer player, 28, shared a make-up free selfie with no filters as well as an update on how she is doing with her more than 2 million Instagram followers. 

Although her breakouts were barely noticeable, the former athlete revealed that it felt like her ‘skin [is] losing its mind.’

‘This pregnancy has been the hardest on me. Sickness, exhaustion and now skin,’ she wrote across a Boomerang video.

She continued: ‘Got an amazing facial this morning in hopes to help.’

In the recording, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s high school sweetheart looked fresh-faced as she smiled and titled her head to the side.

Her hair was pulled back in a bun and she rocked a neon pink top under a black hoodie. 

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who has been candid about her acne breakouts in the past, suffers from perioral dermatitis, a condition that causes a red rash that circles the mouth.

Last week, Brittany and Patrick staged a heartwarming gender reveal party to announce whether their third child is a girl or boy. 

The Mahomes confirmed they had another little girl on the way as their three-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, played a giant game of Tic-Tac-Toe. 

Patrick can be seen helping her turn over giant tiles to reveal three consecutive pink crosses and bring out a cloud of pink smoke – confirming that the baby will be a girl. 

His younger brother Jackson was one of the first to comment on the video of the gender reveal, writing: ‘So exciting!!!!’

Brittany, who married the Chiefs quarterback in 2022 after a decade together, gave birth to their second child less than two years ago.

Son Patrick ‘Bronze’ was born on November 28, 2022, with Sterling Skye welcomed on February 20, 2021.

A number of fans were quick to point out last week that Mahomes’ third child could be a good omen for the Chiefs after their back-to-back Super Bowl victories.

One simply commented: ‘3 kids = 3 peat’.

Another put: ‘Three Mahomes babies…good luck for our Chiefs THREE-PEAT!!!’

While he is delighted to be having another child, Mahomes admitted earlier this week that it will be three and out for him and Brittany in the baby department.

‘I’m done, I’ll say that,’ he told reporters from Chiefs’ training camp with a smile. ‘I said three [children] and I’m done. No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young.

‘I got to grow up in the locker room [with his dad, professional baseball player Patrick Mahomes Sr.], I think I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life. And so, I wanted to have kids young and were having a third kid now to join our family.

‘And Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life, and let our kids see these great things.’

As Patrick mentioned, the young couple still make time for themselves as they recently traveled to Europe to take in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Mahomes also joined Travis Kelce – the boyfriend of pop star Swift – for some golf in London at one point as well.

The quarterback is now back in Kansas City as his team goes for an unprecedented three-peat of NFL championships.

‘I spend so much time in the building, at football for these seven, eight months,’ he said. ‘And whenever I’m with my family I wanna enjoy those moments.
