Nefertiti was the wife of Akhenaten, the infamous pharaoh who introduced a new monotheistic religion of the sun god that supplanted the worship of all the other gods. He portrayed himself as the incarnation of the sun god. Nefertiti served as his queen between the 1.350s- 1.330s BC (almost 3.5 thousand years ago).
