According to Ryan Phillips of the Tuscaloosa Patch, Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs (a University of Alabama alumnus) was arrested on Sunday for a domestic violence burglary charge.

Earlier this offseason, Buggs was implicated in Tuscaloosa for animal cruelty charges allegedly involving abandonment of two dogs left on property he rented. His agent promptly responded with a bizarre accusation that Buggs was a victim of police harassment. He turned himself in to Tuscaloosa police on May 30.
While navigated the situation, Buggs was absent for all open media looks at the Chiefs’ organized team activities (OTAs). He was present for last week’s mandatory minicamp.
Buggs joined the Chiefs’ practice squad during the postseason and signed a reserve/future contract in February to stay with the team. He has never appeared in a game with the Chiefs — and likely will not after a second off the field issue in as many months.
After trying out four defensive linemen last week, the Chiefs signed former Montana defensive tackle Alex Gubner. It will not be surprising to see Buggs replaced with another of the tryout players in the coming days.
More to come.
