In a post to follow, Pelissero added, āBuggsā bond was revoked after his most recent arrest, and heās currently in jail as multiple legal cases play out.ā
The 27-year-old was first accused of animal cruelty in late May, with his agent quickly responding with an accusation that the defensive tackle was a victim of police harassment. After attending the Chiefsā mandatory minicamp, Buggs was then arrested on June 16 for a domestic violence-burglary charge.
Buggs found a job on the Chiefsā practice squad during the 2023 postseason run, then signed a reserve/future contract in February to stay with the club for the offseason program.
Buggs last played in an NFL game as a member of the Detroit Lions in Week 17. He has never appeared in a Kansas City game. It now appears he never will.
