As the ramp up to the start of the 2024 National Football League season continues, Pro Football Network released their list of the top 100 players in an effort to drive discussion while we wait the final 8 weeks until live action. The list was voted on by the PFN staff and aims to rank the “most talented and productive athletes from every team.

How did the Miami Dolphins fare on PFN’s list?

The boys in aqua and orange ended up with five players ranked in the top 100.

Obviously, Tyreek Hill was the highest ranked Dolphins player — landing at number seven overall. He wasn’t the highest ranked receiver, however. That distinction went to Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings at number six. CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys came in as the third best wide-receiver at number 14 overall.

Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets was the highest rated cornerback on PFN’s list at number 20. Patrick Surtain II was rated the 33rd best player, while Jalen Ramsey was the third cornerback listed — sitting at number 36 overall.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made the list at number 66 overall, however he is just the 12th best passer in the league according to PFN. Here are the QBs ranked higher than Tagovailoa:

1. Patrick Mahomes — Kansas City Chiefs

3. Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens

11. Josh Allen — Buffalo Bills

12. Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals

32. Dak Prescott — Dallas Cowboys

35. C.J. Stroud — Houston Texans

43. Jalen Hurts — Philadelphia Eagles

51. Justin Herbert — Los Angeles Chargers

52. Matthew Stafford — Los Angeles Rams

55. Brock Purdy — San Francisco 49ers

58. Jordan Love — Green Bay Packers

Here is what PFN said about Tua Tagovailoa and his ranking:

“His statistics suggest an MVP candidate who should comfortably rate among the NFL’s highest-paid players. Tua is undoubtedly aided by Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel’s dynamic scheme and the presence of superstar wideouts like Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but Miami doesn’t have many alternate paths to a quarterback upgrade.”

Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was the next Dolphins player to make the list. He landed at number 77, while safety Jevon Holland was the final Miami player ranked — finishing up at 79 overall.
