Over the last few days, news has started to pour in regarding EA Sports’ latest NFL video game, Madden 2025.
First, we learned that San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey would be this yearâs cover athlete, despite my small pitch for it to be Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. However, if anyone in the NFL deserved to be the poster boy of this yearâs game, itâs CMC after his career-best 1,459 yards on the ground.
He also added 67 receptions for 564 yards and seven touchdowns â bringing his yearly total to 21 touchdowns. So, Iâd say CMC deserved it, but letâs be honest, the cover really doesnât matter.
What matters to most gamers is what new features EA will be adding this year, and if youâre a Dolphins fan, youâll be happy to know that youâll be able to fully implement McDanielâs motion-heavy style of offense in Madden â25.
This yearâs Madden should see many new changes, including three different groups of commentators, new visuals, BOOM tech technology, new animations, and much more. But what stood out was the emphasis on new playbooks, with an example of Miamiâs offense. Click HERE to check out all the latest changes in this yearâs game.
In addition to the recent news surrounding some of Madden â25âs newest features, EA started to send out invites to this yearâs Beta, which allows gamers to get their first taste of this yearâs game and give their feedback to improve the release.
Unfortunately, I haven’t received an invite yet, but some lucky gamers have. And despite a very strict no-share policy, weâve seen plenty of screenshots and ratings leaked over the last 24 hours. The most popular were the ratings of the Top-10 quarterbacks in this yearâs game, which had many wondering what Tua Tagovailoaâs ratings would be.
This has not been confirmed and likely wonât be until the game releases â but according to several who have played the game, Tua is the sixth-highest-rated quarterback in Madden â25 with an 88 overall.
Here are the top QB ratings in Madden 25:
1. Patrick Mahomes: 99
2. Lamar Jackson: 98
3. Joe Burrow: 93
4. Josh Allen: 92
5. Dak Prescott: 90
6. Tua Tagovailoa: 88
7. Jalen Hurts: 87
8. Justin Herbert: 87
9. Brock Purdy: 85
10. Kirk Cousins: 84Tua is finally getting respect pic.twitter.com/7S8eWvBgV1

Yes, the ratings could be false, but thatâs okay. The most exciting takeaway from Maddenâs recent announcement is the addition of Miamiâs playbook and all the unique features that may come with that.
Madden may not have been worth the price over the last few years, and thereâs no guarantee that will change this year. But as a diehard Miami Dolphins fan, I canât wait to get my grubby paws on Maddenâ25 â and all the new features that come with my favorite team.
What are your thoughts on Maddenâ25âs cover athlete, Christian McCaffrey? Are you excited about the changes made to the Miami Dolphins and other teams around the league? Do you believe Tua is the sixth-best QB in football? Will you be buying Madden? Let us know in the comments section below!
