Phinsider Question Of The Day: Missed Opportunity Edition
It’s been another long NFL offseason. Now, before you know it, In only 18 days, our Miami Dolphins will face off against the Atlanta Falcons in their first pre-season game. This will be the first NFL game action for the team in seven months. During those many months, the team has seen massive changes. The league year began with free agency, which saw our Phins lose some fan favorites to other teams. Other players were cut or just not resigned. Then, the team went on a spree of signing its own crop of free agents. Following that, the draft brought in more players, followed by the signing of several undrafted free agents, adding even more bodies to the roster. Since the early flurry of free agency and the draft, the team has continued to add some other key free agents along the way.
While the team is moving into full-on training camp mode, there will still be some opportunities to add free agents or even make a trade. I suspect that, at the very least, the front office will watch the waiver wire towards or at the end of camp, looking for players that can be brought in to upgrade the offensive line. Even if you loved all or most of what the Dolphins have done this offseason, there is at least one move that you wanted the team to make that the team could have easily made that they just passed on for some reason.
So tonight’s Phinside Question Of The Day is:
What move did you hope our Miami Dolphins make this offseason that they did not pull the trigger on?
This move could have been keeping a player who left or was cut, signing a free agent that the team passed on, not cutting a player that you wanted gone, making a coaching change, or really any other move that you can think of that would have seriously affected the roster or staff.
