Twitter reactions to Cowboys’ 2024 training camp opening presser
2024 training camp is off to a rousing start. No, not really, Cowboys fans looking for football conversation instead had to deal with almost an entire hour worth of a press conference talking about front office things as the introductory presser took place on Thursday. Jerry and Stephen Jones did allow Mike McCarthy to sit at the podium with them, but despite a couple of the reporters (Patrik Walker mostly) trying to steer things towards on-field content, the offseason and contract situations were all most reporters were focused on.
Which is fair. The Cowboys’ offseason was not the usual. There were no extensions or long-term deals made and the way the team exited the playoffs left a lot to be desired. The Joneses spoke on those demands from CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons and quarterback Dak Prescott, looked to re-define “all in” for the hundredth time, and said a lot about ambiguity. No they didn’t, they just said ambiguity a lot.
Here are the highlights from the day’s presser, as captured via Twitter reactions.
