Last week, I posted a list of our draft picks and undrafted free agents HERE. I then asked the following question:
Which Miami Dolphins rookie do you see rising to the top this coming season and earning the title āDolphins Rookie Of The Yearā?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-
Reid305 is going with the edge rusher out of Colorado State.
Iāll go with Mo Kamara, I really like his game. Excellent motor, dawg mentality, has good bend and a strong burst off the line, relentless pursuit. He seems like heās super competitive and has a thirst for knowledge, so that sounds like he should take to the coaching. He reminds me of a slightly taller Elvis Dumervil. Not saying thatās what heāll be in the NFL, but thatās the comp that comes to mind when I watch his tape.
Strategerist thinks it could be the first-rounder if he adjusts quickly enough to the NFL level of play.
Chop is best poised to get the reps, with Chubb and JP out (or slowed) at the beginning of the year. The question is whether he will adapt quickly enough to the pro game to earn more reps once they come back.
Miami7 thinks it will be the speedy back out of Tennessee.
Iāll say Wright….Mostert has had injury issues throughout his career. Achane is āproblyā not(?) an every down Back – so I assume Wright will see fairly significant opportunity. Sure would be nice (after Achane last year) if we found a two-headed monster toward the future.
tpl think it will go to Virginia’s small but super-productive wide receiver.
Malik Washington. Miami has need of WR help and there will be opportunities for him to shine.
phinette seconds tplās pick!
This is a tough one. I think Malik Washington is my sleeper pick. I know we have tremendous talent and depth at the WR position, but all three of our starters have battled injuries so there may be opportunities for Malik to shine. Chop is an obvious choice, but I just donāt know how he will perform at this level.
TheRoo1 thinks it will be the undrafted free agent CB with an interesting name out of Louisville.
QUACK. STORM DUCK. QUACK
Thomas23059 believes that Chop will validate his selection in the NFL draft’s first round.
I really want to say Malik Washington, but I would be shocked if it were anyone other than Chop Robinson. He has the talent and the opportunity. All he needs to do is step up. Robinson will be Miamiās rookie of the year while he is setting the Dolphins rookie sack record (currently 8.5 from Phillips).
finfanfromsiam wants to see the fast back tear it up.
Hopefully Jalen Wright busts the defenses ass!
72Phins4ever is going with Storm, because!
Storm Duck… just because.
daytonadolfan seconds the vote for Kamara to make an impact!
Kamara gets my vote; we need him to step up on the edge!
Thatās a solid list, and I hope that every one of you is correct in some way. This team will need some of the free-agent signings and/or rookies to step up this coming season. Thank you, as always, to everyone who took the time to answer our question of the day.
